TOUGH LOVE AND IRAQ
Not since the Mongol invasions of the 12th century has the Middle East seen anything like President George Bush – the Great Liberator of the Shiites, - the Greatest Liberator in the entire 1400 year history of Shiitedoom - the Great Destroyer of the entire political framework of the Middle East. From this war evolved The Bush Doctrine – the second most important doctrine since the end of the Second World War: the first being Churchill’s Iron Curtain speech. (The third most important doctrine was President Reagan’s – Evil Empire doctrine in dealing with the Soviet Union.)
There is no sense in beating the dead horse of the how, when, where and why of the Iraq war. The reality is we are there. The only question is what do we do next. The exit strategy.
The US military won the Iraq war. Only the Iraqi people can win the peace. THE US ARMY CANNOT WIN THE PEACE IN IRAQ. Any attempt to impose a US military enforced peace in Iraq will only lead to more senseless bloodshed and needless loss of US soldiers.
There are 2 choices confronting President Bush in Iraq: The Cut and Win Theory and of course – the good old Cut and Run Theory better known as the Screw You Bastards - We Don’t Give A Damn About You - Run For The Exit Theory
THE CUT AND WIN THEORY: TOUGH LOVE IRAQI STYLE
I draw your attention to a very important article written by Fareed Zakaria titled – “A New Way Forward “in the Newsweek Magazine Nov.6 issue. This article outlines a large part of the Cut and Win approach to the Iraq war. There is no sense in repeating the details of this very important article. I will only add a few more ideas in finalizing the Cut and Win Theory.
The first step in the Cut and Win Theory is to have Condoleezza Rice travel to Iraq and (as recommended in the Iranian part of this article with regard to the Iranian people) speak directly to the Iraqi people - sit down in Baghdad TV station and deliver a Tough Love no holds barred speech. Before her speech begins, there should be at least 15/30 minutes of testimonials from Shiites and Sunni families who have lost their loved ones in the most horrific violence and torture ever devised by murdering butchers. The problem with violence on such a scale as Iraq has experienced is that in a strange way people become used to it. They gradually go about their daily lives. And in so doing lose sight of all the suffering of their fellow country men who have lost children, mothers, fathers, grand parents etc. These speeches by the ordinary people of Iraq displaying their heart felt grief, begging their fellow citizens for peace hopefully will be the start of a movement of shame – the shame of a nation for the great acts of depravity that have been committed in the name of Allah and Islam.
In her speech, Condoleezza Rice displays the great crimes against humanity committed by Saddam Hussein. The great crimes committed by the Sunni and Shiite terrorists. The fact that over 150,000 Iraqis have been brutality killed by fellow Iraqis since the fall of Saddam. She will state - the great sacrifice of the Iraqi trained army and police force. And the great blood sacrifice of the American army and people. Plays the Iranian card and explains the direct involvement of Iran in the sectarian violence and asks the Iraqi people if they want to become part of a new Persian Empire with the Mullahs of Iran as their leaders and Tehran as their defacto capital. Now for tough love – either there is an Iraqi people and an Iraqi nation or just a collection of 3 Ottoman provinces - either the country comes together and fights the terrorists or splits apart. Asks them - “What do you want us to do." If you want us to leave then we'll leave. If you want to stay then you must help us. That from here on in – the Iraqis must fight for their freedom – the US army will start redeploying in Iraq. She demands that the Sunni and Shiite Imams declare it a great crime to attack and kill. Calls for immediate unity. Demands political concessions especially on the redistribution of the oil wealth. Hands over control of the Iraqi army to the Prime Minister. Leaves all policing to the Iraqis – gradually reduces forces down to 90,000 and then 75,000 – their presence to stand as a bulwark against a full scale civil war and Iranian expansion. They are to be used solely against terrorist hideouts. No more manning roadblocks. No more patrolling streets where they can be attacked by IUDs /snipers. No more invading Sunni cities. Top priority – the protection of US soldiers.
In this speech, Rice must make the Iraqi people understand that a victory by Shiite extremists will lead them to war, death and destruction. Sunnis must understand that continued terrorist actions will force moderate Iraqi Shiites to support the extremists and seek support from Iran. This will lead to a disaster for their community. Rice should make it very plain to the Iraqi Sunnis that the best friend they have is the US army. Without the US in Iraq and with 500,000 Iranian Shiite soldiers just one days march from Baghdad, all Sunnis between the ages of 16 and 65 will be marched off, murdered and buried in the Iraqi deserts. That is the cold hard reality they face.
There are no easy solutions in the Cut and Win Theory. The best you can do is force the Iraqis to stand up by refusing to do anymore police work. If they refuse to stand up and protect their own people then Iraqis will continue to be murdered. Because of the long term Iranian terrorist threat to the region - the reality is that the US will probably need a force of at least 50,000/75,000 soldiers in Iraq for the next 10 years – no matter what it does.
In addition to this TV appearance, Rice holds an emergency meeting of the Arab/ Islamic League (including Iran) – the purpose of which is to establish a security frame work for the Middle East – or if Iran refuses - the formation of an alliance of the Sunni States against the emerging Persian Empire (quietly behind the scenes between Israel and these Arab States) And making the Iraqi Shite Arabs an integral part of this alliance. A frame work guaranteeing the Arab states a nuclear shield against Iran. (Every effort must be employed to encourage the Arab states to keep their traditional nuclear free Middle East policy. If the Arabs get nuclear weapons, the entire Middle East will be on a first strike alert. Such a deployment will guarantee a nuclear Middle East War - oil at $100.00/$150.00gallon and a world wide catastrophic economic depression. This is why Iran must be stopped at all costs. A nuclear Iran is the end of the Non- Proliferation Treaty. Every state will be able to obtain weapons of mass destruction creating a shopping market for terrorists making a nuclear attack on a US city inevitable.) Setting up Saudi Arabia/Gulf States multi - billion aid/investment incentives for Iraqi Sunnis. Establishment of the previously mentioned Middle East Free Trade Zone. And an Arab League peacekeeping force to be sent to the Sunni Triangle. It should be made very clear to the Arab nations and Iran that if the US is forced out of Iraq then the entire Middle East will be immediately plunged into a devastating Sunni/Shiite civil war in which at least 1 million people will die. Since all these countries have large Shiite minorities while Iran has a large Sunni population – the consequences of an Iraqi civil war spilling over their borders and destabilizing their countries should be too horrible for them to sanely contemplate. It should be made very clear to Saudi Arabia that its continued support of Sunni terrorists will lead to disaster for their kingdom. If Hezbollah can muster an army of fifty thousand fighters from a Lebanese population of 1.5 million Shiites – then in Iraq a Hezbollah style government would create an army of one million Shiite fanatics. In alliance with Iran, this army could invade and conquer Riyadhin a week. With control of the worlds oil supply, such a victory for Iran would be a calamity not only for the US and the West but also China and India. Surrounding Israel on all sides, the Shiites could launch rockets attacks throughout the country, destroying the Israeli economy and maybe even the state of Israel itself. These events would be the greatest strategic disaster in US history. IT’S ALL ABOUT IRAN STUPID
THE CUT AND RUN SCREW YOU BASTARDS THEORY
If all foreign troops are withdrawn from Iraq - the world will be plunged into a political and military catastrophe. This catastrophe will lead to a disastrous disruption of oil supplies that will force oil prices to $10.00/$20.00/gallon and throw the world economy into a massive recession affecting all world economies espically the developing economies of China and India. This could cause political instability on a world wide scale.
As previously described in this website, if the US is forced out of Iraq the following disaster will ensue:
1. The Iraqi government immediately collapses.
2. All Iraqis who supported the Government and US flee the country by the hundreds of thousands.
3. Iran steps into the power vacuum supporting the seizure of Baghdad by their radical Shiite militia allies.
4. A radical Shiite Islamic government is imposed on Iraq.
5. A podium against the Sunnis begin with millions killed. The survivors are driven out of the country.
6. One million Hezbollah style fighters are enlisted into the radical Shiite Militias. As stated above - (If Hezbollah can muster an army of fifty thousand fighters from a Lebanese population of 1.5 million Shiites – then in Iraq a Hezbollah style government would create an army of one million Shiite
fanatics.)
7. This force in alliance with the Iranian army capture Riyadh within weeks and seize the Gulf States.
8. They then march into Jordon creating the feared Shitte Crescent.
9. As previously mentioned with 80% of the world’s oil, under Iran's control the price soars to $10.00/$20.00 per gallon.
10. Israel is attacked with rockets on all sides effectively shutting down the Israeli economy and destroying the Jewish State.
11. After obtaining nuclear weapons, Iran unleashes terrorist forces worldwide attacking Europe and the US.
12. These terrorists smuggle nuclear weapons into London, Paris, Washington, New York and kill millions.
The enactment of the Cut and Run Screw You Bastards Theory leads directly to a major Middle East civil war involving all the Gulf States, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and Iran. The destruction of entire cities and the killing of millions. As stated above, almost immediately after the US announces that it is withdrawing, the Iraqi army and government fall completely apart. Everyone and anyone who ever supported or worked with the US flees the country. Millions escape to surrounding countries. Oil prices shoot to $10.00/ gallon. This civil war is the true clash of civilizations – the Sunni and Shiite Civilizations. Clashes could even erupt in the West as Mosques are attacked and blown up on a world wide scale. If Iraq was situated in Cambodia then maybe you could disregard the moral implications of a Cut and Run withdrawal and pull out. But Iraq is not Cambodia. It is located at the very center of the energy producing universe. So much for the Screw You Bastards Theory. This is depraved tough love with grave consequences for the entire world.
The Tragedy of Iraq is that 98% of the people (both Sunni and Shiite) totally and completely oppose the sectarian violence. Lest we all forget - for every US soldier that has been killed over 60 Iraqis have died. They are paying an enormous price for their freedom. A large part of the civil strife is being orchestrated by Tehran. Just as they are doing with Hezbollah in Lebanon - Iran wants to destabilize the present Iraqi government and destroy any hope for a democratic Iraq. Their aim is to setup through their Iraqi Shiite militia allies a religious dictatorship directly controlled from Tehran. And bloody US forces. The US is now at war with Iran.
